Albert Hammond Jr returns to UK for headline tour, tickets on sale Friday

Strokes guitarist is supporting his fourth album as a solo artist, the wonderfully titled Francis Trouble

Albert Hammond Jr is to tour the UK this September, with tickets for the shows on sale at 10am on Fri 1 Jun.

Making his name as one of the guitarists in The Strokes, he's had a successful solo career since that band first made their effortlessly cool presence known.

Debut album Yours To Keep was followed by ¿Cómo Te Llama? in 2008, and after a seven year break he returned with Momentary Masters in 2015. Fourth album Francis Trouble was released in March, with more of the guitar wizard's signature new wave inspired indie rock for fans to treasure.

He returns to the UK for a run of headline shows after a stint opening for Franz Ferdinand in February. The tour kicks off at Leeds Brudenell Social Club on Mon 11 Sep, taking in performances in Manchester, Glasgow, London and Bristol, before finishing at Brighton Concorde on Sun 16 Sep.
