New streetwear and sneaker event Urbuhn Avenue to launch at Glasgow's SEC

Up to 150 brands will make the ultimate one-stop-shop for streetwear and sneaker fans

The most fashionable expo is coming to town and you're invited. Urbuhn Avenue is Scotland's newest and largest sneaker and streetwear event and it's launching in Glasgow in April.

Urbuhn Avenue will welcome 4,000 visitors to a massive one-stop-shop for streetwear and sneakers with basketball, street art and music thrown in. The event takes place at Glasgow's SEC Centre on Sat 6 Apr 2019 and tickets are on sale now.

The event will transform SEC into a sneaker fan's nirvana, bringing together up to 150 streetwear pop ups including Doric Skateboards, Vindicate, SNKR STAKE, Hello Sock and more. Exclusive lines will be available on the day making it the perfect place to snap up a new pair of sneaks and try out the lastest fashion.

Alongside brands, the event invites some of the largest individual collectors and sellers in the UK to show off their collections. Even better that just ogling over them, attendees have the opportunity to meet the collectors to trade or buy must-have sneakers. Alongside this the Limited Edition Trainer Exhibition will have a unique display of rare and special sneaks.

A panel discussion will take place on the day seeing none other than co-founder of Patta, Edson Sabajo, discuss all things sneakers and streetwear with Franklin AKA King of Trainers and Danny and Lance from The Annexe.

For those looking for a unique way to remember the day free customisations from professional sneaker artist Sneaker Stockroom will be available in the onsite Customisation Factory.

Other highlights include free-play basketball with Glasgow Rocks basketball player Kieron Achara and Basketball Scotland, hip hop demonstrations, a street art workshop and a photography workshop from sneaker photographer Peter Coyne, all of which are free for ticket holders.

On the day food and coffee will be served for friends and families from The Hangout while The North Hop Bar offers craft Scottish beer and spirits in the beer garden. Kings Barbershop will also be onsite all day offering ticket holders the chance to get a fresh fade, cut or beard trim.

Show Manager, Megan Burns, said: 'We're looking to do something different – this isn't your regular expo. There's already been an overwhelmingly positive response and we still have some exciting announcements up our sleeves. It will be the ultimate day out for any sneaker, streetwear or graffiti enthusiast.'

Urbuhn Avenue streetwear and sneaker expo takes place on Sat 6 Apr 2019 at Glasgow's SEC. Tickets are on sale now and VIP packages are expected to sell-out fast.
