Six shows to see at the 10-day celebration of culture and jazz in the capital
The annual EFG London Jazz Festival is back for its 25th year with yet another world-class lineup of established and emerging jazz musicians from around the globe. The festival runs from Fri 16–Sun 25 Nov 2018, spanning multiple venues across the capital for a 10-day celebration of culture and jazz. With over 75 programmed events exploring all corners of the genre there is certainly something for everyone to enjoy. Avishai Cohen Trio with Shai Maestro & Mark Guiliana
Gifted bassist and composer Avishai Cohen celebrates the tenth anniversary of the album Gently Disturbed with an exclusive UK performance. Avishai will be joined by pianist Shai Maestro and drummer Mark Guiliana to commemorate the seminal record.

Bill Frisell
The legendary guitarist will perform a solo concert based around his new release Music IS. The record covers Bill's own music as far as back as his first ECM albums. Join one of the world's most adventurous guitarists for a rare solo show.

Camilla George & Sarah Tandy

Dubbed 'the Golden Girl of Jazz', critically-acclaimed saxophonist Camilla George and her band will perform material from her second album The People Could Fly. Support comes from Camilla's pianist and composer Sarah Tandy. The pair are considered to be two of the most important emerging artists on the British jazz scene right now.

Judi Jackson
Rising jazz vocalist and performer Judi Jackson will perform at the festival following the release of her debut album Live In London. The album follows on from her critically acclaimed debut EP Blame It On My Youth. Judi worked with Grammy award-winning band Snarky Puppy on her original song, 'Only Love' and has been marked as one to watch.

Lea DeLaria
Most known for her frank outspoken politics and her role as Big Boo in hit series Orange Is The New Black, DeLaria is a woman of great talent with the vocal range to match. Her show features hits from her latest album House Of David: delaria+bowie=jazz, and promises to show off not only her vocal talent, but her razor-sharp wit and sassy stage presence.

Orphy Robinson pres. Van Morrison's Astral Weeks - 50th Anniversary
Fifty years on from the release of the iconic record multi-instrumentalist and 2017 Jazz FM Live Experience of the Year Award winner, Orphy Robinson brings together some of the UKs top jazz players to reinterpret its transcendental arrangements.
Orphy's ensemble, which consists of composer Tony Remy, will be joined by vocalists Sarah Jane Morris and Zara McFarlane.
