Global megastar to play in Leeds and Ipswich next August

Ed Sheeran has announced he will play two UK shows as part of his global headline tour that extends into 2019. The biggest name in pop sold out stadiums across the UK this year and will return to the stage next summer.

The pop icon will perform on Sat 16 and Sun 17 Aug at Roundhay Park in Leeds with a further two shows on Sat 23 and Sun 24 Aug at Chantry Park in Ipswich. Tickets for the shows go on sale at 10am Thu 27 Sep.

Ed's 2014 album, X, brought the artist his first number one single 'Sing' – a collaboration with Pharrell Williams. The album also contained the popular acoustic ballad 'One'. In 2017 he released his Grammy-winning third studio album and became the year's biggest-selling global artist. He is one of the most successful recording acts around. Other notable hits include: 'Shape of You', 'Thinking Out Loud' 'Perfect' and 'Castle on the Hill' amongst others.

The latest instalment of shows will follow-on from Ed's first-ever South Africa stadium tour which sold out fast. The dates will culminate his world tour with two homecoming shows in Ipswich, the first in his home county since 2013.
