Iconic American jazz saxophonist, composer and producer to perform in the capital in 2019

Kamasi Washington has announced he will perform at Brixton's O2 Academy in London next March. Tickets for the show go on sale at 10am on Fri 16 Nov.

The multi-talented jazz saxophonist, composer and producer has worked with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, McCoy Tyner, Lauryn Hill, Mos Def, Quincy Jones, Stanley Clark and Chaka Khan over his career.

Kamasi found fame upon the release of his first signed solo album in 2015, The Epic. The album hit the number one spot in the US, Canada, Australia and Russia. It was succeeded by 2017's Harmony of Difference and this year by Heaven and Earth, a two-part album that was supported with extended play follow-up The Choice.

Kamasi Washington will perform at Brixton's O2 Academy in London on Tue 5 Mar. Tickets for the show go on sale at 10am on Fri 16 Nov.
