The 1975 announced as third headliner for Glasgow Summer Sessions

The pop-rockers will be supported by Twin Atlantic, You Me at Six, Pale Waves and more

Glasgow Summer Sessions have announced The 1975 as the third headline act for their 2019 programme. The pop-rock band will be joined by Twin Atlantic, You Me At Six, Pale Waves, Ten Tonnes and No Rome on Sun 25 Aug 2019. Tickets for the show go on sale at 9am on Fri 30 Nov.

Since the release of their first EP Facedown in 2012, The 1975 have scored such hits as 'The City', 'Chocolate', 'The Sound' and 'Somebody Else'. The Manchester four-piece's 2013 self-titled debut topped the UK Albums Chart and is certified platinum. Their third album, A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships, is due to be released on Fri 30 Nov, and The 1975 have announced a UK-wide arena tour in Jan 2019.

This latest announcement adds another big name to Glasgow Summer Sessions' 2019 line-up, which includes the likes of The Cure, Foo Fighters, Mogwai, The Twilight Sad. The festival will take place at Bellahouston Park on Fri 16 Aug, Sat 17 Aug and Sun 25 Aug.

The 1975 will play Glasgow Summer Sessions on Sun 25 Aug at Bellahouston Park. Tickets are available from 9am on Fri 30 Nov.
