First wave of artists announced for Isle of Wight Festival, find out how to get tickets

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, George Ezra, Biffy Clyro and more make the lineup
The Isle of Wight Festival will return in 2019 and today the first wave of musical acts have been announced. In line with the news, it has been revealed that the first batch of tickets go on sale at 9am Fri 25 Jan.
2019 marks the 50th year of the festival which started with a capacity of 10,000 that has transformed to 72,000. The festival will run from Thu 13-Sun 16 Jun at Seaclose Park, Newport.
Headlining the 2019 event are Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, George Ezra, Biffy Clyro. Special guest Fatboy Slim will keep the party going as he plays into the night following George Ezra.
The Scottish artists announced today are Biffy Clyro (headlining Sunday evening), Gerry Cinnamon and KT Tunstall.
Biffy Clyro said: 'We are delighted to be headlining The Isle of Wight Festival again. 'Tis a beauty. Hail Satan!!'
Gerry Cinnamon said: 'Looking forward to playing The Isle of Wight Festival again. Class line up - if I wasn't playing I'd probably be going.'
KT Tunstall said: 'I'm so looking forward to coming back to The Isle of Wight Festival. My first time was as a punter in 2003 and I had a blast.'
Over the years Isle of Wight Festival has seen a whole host of legendary acts perform including the Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, Kasabian, Amy Winehouse, Kings of Leon, Jay-Z, The Strokes and many more.
