Award-winning West End show comes to the 2000 capacity venue for ten days in August
Smash-hit musical The Book of Mormon will run at Sunderland Empire Theatre from Wed 28 Aug–Sat 7 Sep 2019. Tickets for the performances are on sale now.
The dates come as part of the production's National tour. The show comes to the 2000 capacity venue following a stint at the Palace Theatre Manchester.
This musical comedy, from the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and Bobby Lopez, details the misadventures of a mismatched pair of missionaries. Since opening in 2011, The Book of Mormon has bagged Tony Awards including Best Musical, and a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album. The production features over 20 songs including famed hits 'Turn It Off', 'Hello' and 'I Believe'.
