Simba and the gang remain in the Scottish capital for three extra weeks
The world-famous, best-selling smash-hit musical production of The Lion King landed at the Edinburgh Playhouse back in December 2019 and, due to phenomenal demand, a further three weeks have been added to the run. The new shows will run from Tue 30 Mar–Sat 18 Apr with tickets set to go on sale from 10am on Tue 14 Jan, following the ATG Theatre Card presale at 10am on Mon 13 Jan.
The announcement is excellent news for those who missed out on tickets and have been reading the multiple five-star reviews for the production's recent Scottish run. The List's Kelly Apter rated the production five stars, stating that the 'Disney musical proves it's still ahead of the pack when it comes to theatrical ingenuity'.
