Andrew Lloyd Webber's smash hit, award-winning West End show takes to the road next February

Remember School of Rock starring Jack Black from 2003? Well Andrew Lloyd Webber has had a hold of it and turned it into an award-winning musical that will tour the UK in 2021. Tickets for the School of Rock: The Musical tour go on sale at 10am on Mon 9 Mar.

Based on the film, the musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed wannabe rock star who poses as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school to earn money. He turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping rock band as the story unfolds.

The musical adaptation features new music written by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Glenn Slater (The Little Mermaid, Sister Act). Songs are performed by the show's young actors live on stage every night setting the production aside from the rest.

School of Rock: The Musical opened back in 2016 and, with 5-star reviews and widespread critical acclaim, it went on to win the Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music. The West End production recently finished up on Broadway and in 2021/22 will tour the UK, calling at 22 cities.
