It's official – on Monday 19 July in England all major virus-related restrictions will be lifted, allowing nightclubs and large event venues to open their doors. And with a foresight that could give Nostradamus a run for his money, a slew of dates in big venues have been announced for music, theatre and comedy in the very near future.

In this bumper week for gig listings we've seen high-profile performers announce tours for 2022, old favourites returning to the live circuit, and London's West End preparing the long road to revitalisation with high-end productions in winter. Here are some of the finest tickets to go on sale this week.

James Taylor

One of the most highly regarded singer-songwriters of the past half-century, James Taylor is set to hit the road in 2022 with his All-Star Band. Taylor released his 20th studio album American Standard in February 2020, with the album winning Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the Grammys. Expect to hear plenty of songs from his latest release alongside a host of old favourites.

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes

Raucous roustabouts Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes have announced a gargantuan tour for November 2021 and January 2022. It comes in support of their latest album Sticky, which is due for release on Friday 15 October.

Carter said the album is, 'Pure rock 'n' roll energy wrapped up in a bow made of fun and carnage and then dragged through the streets of East London by two naughty little foxes.' We've no idea what that means, but count us in.

Soothing rock miserablists Eels will play the UK in March 2022 in support of their latest album Earth To Dora. Maintaining a huge fan base since the 90s, Eels have forged a unique place for themselves in the indie scene with sad bangers 'Novocaine for the Soul' and 'Susan's House' continuing to enjoy millions of plays on Spotify and YouTube.

Natalie Imbruglia

Natalie Imbruglia is poised to play a one-off show at the Lafayette in London on Wednesday 22 September. The performance will celebrate the release of new album Firebird, her first new material since 2009. Best known for the runaway hit 'Torn', Imbruglia has had similar success in the charts with her songs 'Wrong Impression', 'Instant Crush' and 'Big Mistake'.

The Windsors: Endgame

Based on the popular channel 4 sitcom, The Windsors: Endgame will play at the Prince of Wales Theatre for 10 weeks from Monday 2 August. With a star-studded cast including Harry Enfield, Kara Tointon and Tracy-Ann Oberman, this is sure to be a hilarious production you don't want to miss.
