Nick Cave & Warren Ellis add Glasgow and Aberdeen dates to 2021 UK tour: how to get tickets

Nick Cave & Warren Ellis announce 2021 UK tour, get tickets

Musical duo add dates in Glasgow and Aberdeen to their Carnage tour

Nick Cave & Warren Ellis have added dates in Glasgow and Aberdeen to their mammoth UK tour for 2021. Tickets for shows are on general sale now. Tickets for the additional dates will go on sale at 10am on Wednesday 25 August.

The tour comes in support of their critically acclaimed album Carnage, released in February. Usually working together as part of the Bad Seeds, this is the first time the duo have released an entire album of new material credited solely to Cave & Ellis, apart from their prolific career in film scores.

Created over a period of a few weeks during lockdown, Ellis says of the album, 'Making Carnage was an accelerated process of intense creativity. The eight songs were there in one form or another within the first two and a half days.'

Cave spent the lockdown in typically prolific fashion, launching the 24-hour YouTube stream Bad Seeds Teevee and an online shop of Nick Cave-themed paraphernalia, Cave Things. He also continued The Red Hand Files, his regular email correspondence with fans, and released a special performance of his songs in a deserted concert hall, Idiot Prayer: Nick Cave Alone at Alexandra Palace.

Nick Cave & Warren Ellis most recently announced Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds: B-Sides & Rarities Part II, set for release on Friday 22 October and featuring 27 rare and unreleased tracks from 2006 to 2020.
