Sea Power announce tour for Spring 2022: how to get tickets

The band formerly known as British Sea Power will play London, Glasgow and more

Sea Power have announced a tour for next spring. Tickets will go on general sale at 9am on Friday 3 September.

The tour comes in support of the band's new album Everything Was Forever, which is set for release on Friday 11 February.

The band, formerly known as British Sea Power, recently changed their name in an effort to avoid 'antagonistic nationalism'.

In a statement on their website, the band write, 'In recent times there's been a rise in a certain kind of nationalism in this world – an isolationist, antagonistic nationalism that we don't want to run any risk of being confused with. It's become apparent that it's possible to misapprehend the name British Sea Power, particularly if someone isn't familiar with the band or their recordings.'

The tour will take place throughout April, taking the band to London, Birmingham, Glasgow and more, before wrapping up in Manchester's Albert Hall.

Sea Power's 2022 UK performance dates:
Tuesday 12 April – 1865, Southampton
Wednesday 13 April – O2 Institute2 Birmingham
Thursday 14 April – Roundhouse, London
Tuesday 19 April – O2 Academy, Bristol
Thursday 21 April 21 – Leadmill, Sheffield
Friday 22 April – St Lukes, Glasgow
Saturday 23 April – Albert Hall, Manchester

Tickets for Sea Power's dates in 2022 go on sale at 9am on Friday 3 September.
