The 'Summer Of '69' singer will play Manchester, London, Glasgow and more
Acclaimed Canadian songwriter Bryan Adams has announced a huge arena tour of the UK for spring 2022. Tickets for the gigs go on sale at 9am on Friday 15 October. Check the bottom of this article for a full list of tour dates and to sign up for an email reminder half an hour before tickets go on sale.
The tour comes as Adams' unveils his 15th studio album So Happy It Hurts, set for release on Friday 11 March 2022. The lead single for the album, also called 'So Happy It Hurts', will premiere on YouTube at 5pm today. The album is available to pre-order now.
Adams says, 'The pandemic and lockdown really brought home the truth that spontaneity can be taken away. Suddenly all touring stopped, no one could jump in the car and go. 'So Happy It Hurts' is about freedom, autonomy, spontaneity and the thrill of the open road. The album of the same name, touches on many of the ephemeral things in life that are really the secret to happiness, most importantly, human connection.'
Although his latest LP was completed in November 2020, Adams changed record labels to BMG, delaying its release. The singer posted on Instagram, 'If you'd wondered why it was taking so long to get the new album out, it's because I've changed labels, and joined up with @bmg_us to release my 15th studio album. The first song will be released in October. I can't wait for you all to hear it and there will be more news as we get closer!'
Adams is also set to perform a number of rescheduled tour dates throughout 2022, including three nights at London's Royal Albert Hall, where he'll play three of his classic albums in full.
