Tears For Fears announce expansive UK tour for 2022: how to get tickets

The pop duo will play large venues in Cardiff, Canterbury, Exeter and more in support of new album The Tipping Point

The 1980s pop phenomenon Tears For Fears have announced a huge tour of the UK next summer. Tickets for the shows go on sale at 9am on Friday 19 November. UK fans who purchase the special edition pink vinyl of the band's latest album by 9pm on Tuesday 16 November will receive access to a pre-sale at 9am on Wednesday 17 November. The 'Everybody Wants To Rule The World' stars, who originally formed in 1981, will play a wide range of venues in support of their latest album The Tipping Point, a bold collection of propulsive anthems set for release on Friday 25 February.

The band teased the shows on Twitter before the announcement with a compilation of tour footage from decades past, writing only, 'coming soon…'

The mammoth-sized tour will kick off in Telford on Friday 1 July at the QEII Arena before hitting a number of other major locations, including Waddesdon Manor and Cardiff Castle, and culminating on Tuesday 26 July at Exeter's Powderham Castle. Support for the tour comes from Garbage and Alison Moyet on select dates.

Tears singer Curt Smith said, 'We couldn't be more excited to start playing concerts again. We've missed seeing our friends on the road around the world and the energy of performing live.'
