John Cale announces first UK tour in over 10 years: how to get tickets

The founding member of Velvet Underground will hit several UK cities this summer

John Cale has released a run of UK tour dates for this summer. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Wednesday 2 March.

This will be the first time the former Velvet Underground member has toured in over a decade. Kicking off in Liverpool on Friday 15 July, the musician will hit York, Cambridge, London and more. See a full list of tour dates below.

The 'Paris 1919' performer will showcase the biggest hits from throughout his career including 'Barracuda' and 'Nobody But You'. The last time the composer released new music was in 2016 with his Fragments Of A Rainy Season album.

The multi-instrumentalist last embarked on a string of UK performances in 2012 during his 'Shifty Adventures In Nookie Wood' tour.
