Arcade Fire announce 2022 UK arena tour: how to get tickets

Arcade Fire announce 2022 headline show at The O2: how to get tickets

The indie-rock legends will hit London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow in support of brand new album 'WE'

Canadian rock band Arcade Fire have confirmed a 2022 UK arena tour. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 13 May.

The 'Wake Up' group made up of husband and wife Win Butler and Régine Chassagne with Richard Reed Parry, Tim Kingsbury and Jeremy Gara will hit Birmingham's Utilita Arena on Friday 2 September before heading to Manchester's AO Arena, Glasgow's OVO Hydro and then finishing up at The O2 in London on Thursday 8 September. See a full list of tour dates and venues below.

Last month, Will Butler announced that he had left the band to work on other projects. The Academy Award winning composer and multi-instrumentalist told fans in a series of tweets that there was no 'acute' reason for leaving but that I've changed – and the band has changed – over the last almost 20 years'.

The announcement comes just as the band released their new studio album WE today. This is the band's sixth record since their debut Funeral in 2004 and has already been met with critical acclaim.

Last month the outfit performed their first live show in four years at the reopening of the historic London venue KOKO after a multi-million pound restoration and refurbishment project.
