Beatles stage show The Sessions announce UK Tour

Live re-staging of the Beatles’ Abbey Road Recordings heads out on tour

Following an already sold out world premiere at the Royal Albert Hall the Sessions will embark on an eleven date UK tour in April and May 2016.

Part stage show, part musical documentary the Sessions recreates the timeless albums recorded by the Beatles at Abbey Road Studios. The production is set in a replica of the world-renowned Abbey Road Studios and requires seven vocalists (two ‘Johns’, two ‘Pauls’, two ‘Georges’ and one ‘Ringo’), seven musicians on vintage instruments and a twenty-one piece orchestra to make the performance as sonically authentic as possible.

The show is inspired by Here, There and Everywhere, the memoir of former Abbey Road sound engineer Geoff Emerick, now a Creative Consultant for The Sessions. The concept was developed by Stig Edgren (creator of The Elvis Presley – In Concert Show) with Kim Gavin (Creative Director, London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony, Take That Stadium Tour, Rugby World Cup 2015 Opening Ceremony) as Director.

The Sessions play:
6 April – Brighton Centre, Brighton
30 April – Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff
4 May – Capital FM Arena, Nottingham
