Prog metal pioneers tour the country in December, in support of their recently released seventh album Emperors of Sand
Mastodon have announced a UK tour for December 2017, with presale tickets available Thu 15 Jun at 10am.
The prog metal band from Atlanta, Georgia are supporting their seventh studio album Emperors of Sand, released in March this year.
The run of dates kicks off at Cardiff University Students Union on Sat 2 Dec, taking in Wolverhampton, Nottingham, Newcastle, Glasgow and Manchester, before finishing off at London's O2 Brixton Academy on Sun 10 Dec.
Brann Dailor, Brett Hinds, Bill Kelliher and Troy Sanders formed in 2000, over a mutual appreciation of both sludge metal, and the 'guitarmonies' of Thin Lizzy.
Their debut album, 2002's Remission, followed shortly after and, backed up by 2004's Leviathan, it marked them out as pioneers within their genre.
Melodic and rhythmically complex, they're an extraordinary proposition and fans are in for a glorious winter evening.
