Hartnoll brothers, pioneers of electronica and dance legends, dust off the head torches for two UK dates
Orbital have announced shows in London and Manchester this December, with presale tickets available from 10am on Wed 12 Jul.
Paul and Phil Hartnoll are returning after a five-year hiatus to bring the Orbital live show to their fans. They play Manchester's O2 Apollo on Fri 1 Dec and London's Eventim Apollo on Sat 2 Dec.
The brothers recorded their first ever single, 1989's Chime, on their father's tape deck. It became an underground rave anthem, and it's success snowballed, eventually taking Orbital onto Top of the Pops.
Their career has seen them release eight studio albums, with tracks like 'Satan', Halcyon' 'The Box' and 'Illuminate' in their repertoire. 2001 album The Altogether, featured the anthemic 'Doctor?', a live favourite which samples the classic TV show Doctor Who.
It's the third time the brothers have got back together, having announced their intention to part ways and draw a line under the Orbital chapter on several occasions. The gigs are their only indoor live dates of the year. Here's hoping they don't split up again.
