New Victoria Park event to be headlined by LCD Soundsystem, The XX and Bjork in its first year
LCD Soundsystem, The XX and Björk have been announced as the headliners for the first All Points East Festival in London. Tickets for the massive event go on general sale at 9am on Fri 3 Nov.
The ten-day event, taking place at Victoria Park from Fri 25 May to Sun 3 Jun, incorporates a three-day opening festival, a midweek programme of comedy, food and cinema, followed by three huge shows to close, with The National already announced to perform on Sat 2 Jun.
Kicking everything off, it's James Murphy's LCD Soundsystem, who top the bill on Fri 25 May. Supporting them on the night are fellow New Yorkers Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Phoenix, Glass Animals, Richie Hawtin CLOSE, Dixon, and George FitzGerald.
On Sat 26 May, The XX headline, with performances from pop megastar Lorde, this year's Mercury Music Prize winner Sampha, Popcaan, Lykke Li, and Rex Orange County.
Finally, closing off the mini festival on Sun 26 May is Icelandic icon Björk, with Beck, Father John Misty, Flying Lotus 3D, Mashrou' Leila, Sylvan Esso and Alexis Taylor all confirmed as part of a stellar line up.
Tickets for the opening weekend festival at All Points East go on general sale on Fri 3 Nov at 9am. Single day tickets cost £59.95, two day tickets cost £114.95 and three day tickets cost £169.96. Tickets for The National, The War on Drugs and Future Islands are on sale now.
