Indie guitar group will perform their critically-acclaimed debut album in full across six European cities
Bloc Party have announced that they will take their acclaimed debut album Silent Alarm on a European tour this October. Tickets go on sale at 9.30am on Fri 23 Mar.
The band will perform in Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, Brussels and Dublin, before returning to their home country, finishing up at London's Alexandra Palace on Wed 24 Oct.
Released in February 2005, Silent Alarm was highly anticipated, after a string of early releases that brought comparisons to Gang of Four and XTC.
With the duelling guitars of 'Banquet', the politicised 'Helicopter', the melancholy 'So Here We Are' and 'This Modern Love' and the attention grabbing first track 'Like Eating Glass', it reached number 3 in the UK album charts, and is – along with the debut albums by Franz Ferdinand and The Futureheads, a highpoint of mid-noughties British indie.
