Ennio Morricone announces last ever London concert, get tickets

Legendary composer will conduct his classics at the O2 Arena on Mon 26 Nov

Ennio Morricone has announced he will perform one final concert in the UK, at London's O2 Arena on Mon 26 Nov. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Fri 23 Mar.

Conducting the Czech National Symphony Orchestra and the Crouch End Festival Chorus, the iconic composer, whose genius has graced six decades of popular culture, will take to the stage one more time in the UK as part of his 60 Years of Music world tour, ahead of his well earned retirement.

Morricone says, 'I have very fond memories of my tours to the UK, from my very first concert at the Barbican Centre to my shows at the beautiful Royal Albert Hall and recently the spectacular nights at the O2 Arena and the Blenheim Palace grounds.'

'The English audience has always given me a very warm welcome and I felt strongly that I should play one last big concert in London before I retire at the end of this year.'

Born in the eternal city of Rome in 1929, Morricone's activity scoring some of the best films of all time ensures that his legacy will go down in history.

He's perhaps still best known for working on Sergio Leone's westerns, A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West and A Fistful of Dynamite. But he also contributed to classics like The Untouchables, U-Turn and The Mission, and recently added his touch to Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight.

It's your last chance to see a legend in action. Don't miss out.
