Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks announce new album and UK tour dates, get tickets

Sparkle Hard will be released on Fri 18 May and features the singles 'Middle America' and 'Refute' as well as a duet with Kim Gordon

Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks have announced details of their new album, and UK tour dates in support. Tickets for the shows go on sale at 9am on Wed 28 Mar.

The seventh album of his post Pavement career, Sparkle Hard, will be released on Fri 18 May, featuring the previously released single 'Middle America', as well as 'Shiggy', which you can listen to now.

Kicking off the run of UK shows at Manchester's Albert Hall on Wed 17 Oct, the tour takes in Glasgow, Bristol, Birmingham and London, finishing up at Brighton's Concorde 2.

Sparkle Hard also features a track titled 'Bike Lane' and a duet with Kim Gordon, called 'Refute'.
