Dryburgh Abbey Hotel is located on a 10 acre private estate on the banks of the River Tweed and near the ruins of Dryburgh Abbey. The hotel has 38 en suite rooms that range from the standard double room to the Lady Mertoun Suite. Children under the age of six are accommodated free of charge.The hotel has both a restaurant that serves dinner every evening, as well as Sunday lunches, and a bistro that is open 7 days a week from noon-9pm. Both places are open to the public, as well as the Garden Room, which is used for private dining, and the Glen room, which is used for conferences. Dinner served at the Tweed Restaurant has a set price of £35 per person. For the first course, the menu consists of dishes such as ravioli of Borders rabbit and confit of wild brill. For the second course, the menu includes dishes such as a medley of winter vegetables and whole roast local partridge. After dessert, coffee is served in the Lounge Bar or the Drawing Room. The Abbey Bistro consists of several appetizers to choose from, such as chicken liver parfait, brown toast and fig chutney and various options for main dishes. If one only wants a light lunch, the bistro also offers various choices for sandwiches, such as wholemeal bloomer with prawn marie rose. Each sandwich is served with homemade coleslaw and kettle chips.
