The Playhouse

The Halifax Playhouse is a Grade II listed building, converted from a Hanoverian Chapel to a theatre in 1947. The vibrant theatre is run by volunteer members of the Halifax Thespians, who own the building. The main auditorium has a 239 seat capacity with 50 seats in the Studio Bar. The venue plays host to inhouse plays, local musical societies and a range of professional touring companies.
