Visitors are encouraged to book through the website, as spaces are limited to 6 visitors every 20 minutes. Masks must be worn indoors and hand sanitisers are made available throughout all floors.

Gladstone’s Land is a historic high-rise tenement that spans nearly 500 years of Edinburgh’s history. Over three floors Gladstone's Land showcases the lives of merchants and traders through the centuries in a capital city bursting at the seams. Inside its walls await treasures such as an iconic Scottish Renaissance painted interior and countless stories of daily life, death, and drama.

The experience now offers self-guided visits as well as a daily guided tour and brand new specialty tours Tables Through Time: Food in Gladstone's Land and Intimate Lives: The history of sex and desire in Edinburgh's Old Town (16+).

General tour: 3pm daily

The ground floor now offers a new Café & Ice Cream Parlor in a fantastic modern space which pays homage in every detail to Gladstone's Land's historical merchants, such as Ramage's Dairy shop that used to operate out of the building.
