Southwark Cathedral

It is believed that there has been a church on this site since AD 606 (possibly earlier), and Southwark is the oldest cathedral church building in London. It lies on the south bank of the River Thames, near to London Bridge, and is the home to some spectacular choirs. The Cathedral's famous organ was completed in 1897, and was built by Lewis & Co. of Brixton.
